Alleged of planning to join Al-Qaeda fiefs in Algeria and Iraq

Moroccan police arrests 35 potential kamikazes

Morocco counterterrorism police has managed dismantling yesterday a terror network made up of 35 elements specialized in recruiting volunteers to join Al-Qaeda branches in Algeria and Iraq.

Rabat security services assumed that the abovementioned network managed recruiting 30 volunteers, while being charged of planning committing terror attacks in Algeria and Iraq.
Morocco’s Press Agency quoted the same services saying three of the volunteers in were about to back up ranks of Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb in Algeria.
The same source further mentioned that the terror network planned also committing attacks on the Moroccan territories.
Furthermore, investigations conducted by the Moroccan police concluded that three of the network elements were on the point to leave for Iraq to become potential suicide attackers there.
However, Algerian security services have arrested 16 illegal migrants, recently, on borders with Morocco, alleged of planning penetrating the Algerian territories to join terror training camps.
